About Beacon

We started with one
frustrated founder

Beacon exists because hiring help is easy and keeping it working is not. We build, train and manage the support and admin teams our clients rely on, so that the day-to-day management of those people is our problem and not theirs.

How Beacon started

The first version of Beacon was not a company. It was one business owner who had hired an assistant online, spent more time correcting the work than doing it, and eventually did the job themselves again at eleven at night. The second attempt went the same way. The problem was never the person's ability, it was that nobody was managing them, and nobody had written down how the work should be done.

So we built the missing part. We recruited properly, wrote the procedures down, put a manager between the client and the day-to-day, and made cover for holiday and sickness part of the service instead of an apology. Three years later that is still the whole idea: you direct the work, we manage the people.

We now employ 54 people across two countries and work with more than twenty clients, from single-person businesses handing over their inbox to support teams covering the clock in two languages.

Why Sri Lanka and Madagascar

The two locations were chosen for language and for time zones, and they answer different halves of the same problem.

Sri Lanka

A large pool of fluent English speakers with strong professional service experience, in a time zone that overlaps a full European working day and reaches into the Middle East and Asia. This is where most English-first assistant and support roles are based.

Madagascar

A genuinely francophone workforce, so French-speaking clients get native-level service rather than a second language handled patiently. Its hours cover European evenings and the American working day, which is what makes round-the-clock support possible without night shifts for anyone.

Both hubs are supervised teams using managed equipment and a proper network. An unmanaged setup would be cheaper. Supervised teams on managed equipment are far easier to hold to a standard, and that is the trade-off we decided to pay for.

What we believe about outsourcing

Four things, and we are happy to be held to them.

The work is somebody's job, not a task queue

Our people are employed, paid a salary they can plan a life around, and know whose work they are doing and why it matters. Nobody bids for the next hour.

Management is the product

Anyone can introduce you to a candidate. The value is in the person who checks the work, coaches it, covers the gaps and answers for it when something goes wrong.

Write it down so it outlives the person

Every engagement builds documentation of how you like things done. It is the difference between a resignation being an inconvenience and being a restart.

Say the unhelpful thing early

If outsourcing is the wrong answer for you, or if your budget does not match what the work needs, we would rather say it on the first call than sell you a year of disappointment.

Our people are not a cost line in your spreadsheet. They are somebody's colleague, and we treat them that way.

Meet the team

These are the people you will actually deal with: on the discovery call, in the weekly reporting and whenever something needs sorting out. Miha's introduction is on its way.

Chief Commercial Officer

Belgium

Hi, I'm Dries, Chief Commercial Officer at Beacon. Based in Belgium, I lead how Beacon grows, sells and builds lasting relationships with its customers and partners. My days mix strategy with hands-on work: reviewing the pipeline with sales and marketing, meeting prospective clients, supporting the team on important deals and negotiating partnerships that open new markets. I also make sure sales, marketing and customer success work as one, and I coach our commercial team. What drives me is growing Beacon in a way that creates real value for our customers and everyone who puts their trust in us.
